{"id":7355,"date":"2018-09-27T09:00:41","date_gmt":"2018-09-27T09:00:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/213.146.202.110\/?p=7355"},"modified":"2026-08-11T10:46:26","modified_gmt":"2026-08-11T10:46:26","slug":"banco-finantia-leads-in-financial-strength-and-efficiency-in-portugal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.finantia.com\/en\/2018\/09\/27\/banco-finantia-leads-in-financial-strength-and-efficiency-in-portugal\/","title":{"rendered":"Banco Finantia leads in Financial Strength and Efficiency in Portugal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Banco Finantia<\/strong> was considered the <strong>most solid<\/strong> (financial soundness) and the <strong>most efficient <\/strong>(cost-to-income) among the seven main banks operating in Portugal, according to the <strong>2018 \u201cTop 250 EU Banks\u201d ranking <\/strong>compiled by the prestigious British magazine <strong>The Banker<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thebanker.com\/Banker-Data\/Banker-Rankings\/The-Banker-s-Top-250-EU-Banks-ranking-Is-the-capital-recovery-complete\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">study\/ranking carried out by The Banker<\/a> <\/strong>was based on objective criteria and used several indicators, including <strong>size, financial strength and profitability<\/strong>, and was prepared using data as at 31 December 2017.<\/p>\n<p>According to the same study, among the<strong> 250 largest European banks<\/strong>, Banco Finantia ranks fifth in financial soundness and sixth in efficiency, and 180th in terms of size.<\/p>\n<p>Founded in 1926, The Banker, part of the Financial Times Group, is one of the most important magazines in the financial sector, with wide distribution in more than 180 countries.
