According to the 2021 “Top 1000 World Banks” ranking published by the British magazine The Banker, Banco Finantia, among the six largest banks operating in Portugal included in that list, presents the highest financial strength and return on assets ratios (“Soundness” and “ROA”).
The Top 1000 World Banks ranking is based on financial data as of December 31, 2020 and includes the world’s largest banking groups in terms of Tier 1 capital. It does not include subsidiaries of large banks already included on a consolidated basis.
The study/ranking carried out by The Banker was based on objective criteria, using several indicators: Size, Financial Strength and Profitability.
Founded in 1926, The Banker, part of the Financial Times Group, is the most important publication in the banking sector, with wide distribution in more than 180 countries.
