Social Responsibility

Banco Finantia seeks to contribute to a better world.
We are committed to contributing to a better world by supporting social solidarity initiatives, promoting financial education, and preserving artistic and cultural heritage.

Founded in 2009, Academia dos Champs is a social integration project aimed at children and young people whose main objective is to demonstrate, through the practice of tennis, the benefits of embracing sport as a way of life. Much more than a simple leisure activity, it seeks to provide its students with a real and tangible opportunity to overcome their own limits.

Forty thousand Portuguese children and young people have Asperger’s syndrome, a developmental disorder that causes difficulties in social and school adaptation, which in adolescence may lead to school dropout. Founded in 2003, APSA’s main purpose is to help young people with this neurodevelopmental condition develop a more autonomous life and achieve a better quality of life.

Apoio à Vida is a private social solidarity institution with more than 20 years of activity, which has already supported over 4,000 women in having their children and strengthening their families. Its mission is to support pregnant women and adolescents facing doubt or psychological, family or social difficulties. It is based on values such as respect, love and hope.

Capiti, created in 2016, aims to ensure access for children and young people from disadvantaged families to healthcare services in the field of neurodevelopment, in order to facilitate their integration within the family, at school and in society. It provides services for early identification and access to intervention and diagnosis throughout childhood and adolescence, through specialised consultations in the area of child development.

Alongside its social responsibilities, Banco Finantia has been an active patron of the National Palace of Ajuda since 1997 and is proud to be a founding member of the Serralves Foundation (1995), where it has supported various cultural and social programmes.

Additionally, with the aim of recognising and rewarding the performance and talent of future professionals, Banco Finantia has collaborated for several years with ISEG – Lisbon School of Economics and Management, awarding a prize to the best first-year student of the Master’s degree in International Economics and European Studies. The Bank is also a founding member of the Económicas Foundation – Foundation for the Development of Economic, Financial and Business Sciences.

Banco Finantia is a member of several leading associations in the banking and economic sectors, reinforcing its commitment to best practices and international standards:

It is present in Chambers of Commerce, in the Groupement Européen de Banques (GEB) and in the global Terra Alliance network, promoting international relationships and strengthening cooperation between institutions.
