They depend on the ownership regime defined at account opening:

  • Single account: In the name of a single holder, and may be operated only by the holder or their legal representative;
  • Joint and several account: In the name of multiple holders, under a joint and several arrangement whereby any of the holders may carry out transactions without requiring the authorization of the others;
  • Joint account: Held by multiple holders, under a joint and several arrangement whereby any holder may operate the account independently, without requiring the authorization of the others;

After your account has been opened, you will receive an initial email to confirm and validate your details.

Once this validation has been completed, a second email will be sent with all the relevant account information, including your client details, account number, IBAN, SWIFT code, and homebanking access credentials.

These two steps confirm that your account is active and ready to be used.

Instant Transfers

Instant transfers are payment transactions that allow funds to be transferred between bank accounts within the SEPA (Single Euro Payments Area) in real time, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Unlike traditional transfers, which may take several hours or even business days to be processed, instant transfers are completed in just a few seconds, regardless of the day or time at which they are made.

To make an instant transfer, simply access Homebanking or the FinantiaNet app and follow the steps below:

      1. Under Transfers, select New Transfer;
      2. Under Select an option, choose New Transfer;
      3. Enter the transfer recipient by providing the IBAN, mobile phone number, or Tax Identification Number (NIF/NIPC);
      4. With the VOP system, the name of the first account holder is returned in the first field so that you can confirm that it is the correct destination account;
      5. In the following field, you may enter the name of another person if the transfer recipient is a different holder of the account (the field will be pre-filled with the name of the first holder, but it may be edited);
      6. If, on the previous screen, you entered a mobile phone number or a Tax Identification Number (NIF), the IBAN corresponding to the account will be displayed at this stage (with only the last four digits visible).
      7. As you proceed, you will be asked to provide the necessary details for the transfer, specifically whether you would like the transfer to be standard or immediate;
      8. The system will validate whether the name of the beneficiary provided matches the name of an account holder of the destination account:
        1. If it matches, the transfer may proceed;
        2. If it does not match, a message will be displayed prompting you to confirm or amend the information.

      9. Finally, all the transfer details will be displayed so that you can confirm the transaction before it is executed.

If you wish to issue an Instant Transfer Order at a branch or by email, you must complete the Bank Transfer Order Form, which will be provided by your relationship manager.

Instant transfers offer several advantages for our clients:

  • Speed: Funds are made available in the recipient’s account within just a few seconds, regardless of the day or time;
  • Continuous availability: The service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including weekends and public holidays;
  • Simplicity: The transfer may be carried out using the IBAN, mobile phone number, or Tax Identification Number (NIF/NIPC), making the process more flexible and convenient;
  • Security: The system validates the beneficiary’s identity in advance before completing the transaction, reducing the risk of errors and fraud;
  • Alignment with current needs: The service meets the growing demand for speed and autonomy in banking operations, providing a modern, efficient, and practical digital experience.

By default, there is a daily limit of €20,000 for transfers, applicable to both standard and instant transfers. This limit may be changed by the client through homebanking or by contacting their relationship manager directly.

The change of the limit may be requested in the following ways:

  • Via homebanking, with the new limit becoming available after a 12-hour cooling-off period;
  • By telephone, through direct contact with your account manager;
  • At a branch or by email, by completing the Limit Change Instruction Form, provided by your relationship manager.

Whenever the request is made directly to your relationship manager, the limit change becomes effective immediately.

The client may define either a daily limit or a per-transaction limit. The daily limit corresponds to the maximum amount that may be transferred in a single day, resulting from the sum of all transactions carried out, and the total daily amount may not exceed the defined limit while it is in force. The per-transaction limit applies individually to each transfer, and multiple transfers may be made provided that none exceeds the established amount.

If the client sets a limit lower than €20,000 (the default limit defined by the Bank), this will become the new limit in force until a further change instruction is given. In cases where a limit increase is requested, the higher amount will remain active for 24 hours, after which it will revert to the previously configured limit, the default limit of €20,000, or a lower amount previously defined by the client.

No. They have the same cost as normal transfers, according to the applicable price list.

No. Instant transfers are only available for accounts within the SEPA area.

It is not possible to make instant transfers to accounts outside the SEPA area or to accounts in foreign currencies, such as dollars or other currencies.

SPIN

SPIN (Instant Payments System) is a solution that allows you to make and receive bank transfers instantly using only the recipient’s mobile phone number and/or Tax Identification Number (NIF), without the need to enter the IBAN.

This feature was developed to provide a faster, simpler, and more secure payment experience, suited to everyday needs while ensuring high standards of efficiency and reliability in transactions.

To activate this feature, you must access your Personal Area through the Homebanking service, either on your computer or via the FinantiaNet app, and select the “SPIN” option.

In this area, you will need to register the mobile phone number you wish to associate with your account for direct transfers.
It is important to ensure that this number corresponds to the one registered in Homebanking.

Within the scope of SPIN, it is not permitted to associate the same mobile phone number with more than one IBAN. Therefore, you must select the account to which you wish to link your number for the purpose of receiving transfers through this service.

However, it is possible to associate multiple mobile phone numbers with the same IBAN. This means that different holders of the same account may link their respective mobile phone numbers, allowing each holder to receive transfers directly to their own number.

Yes. Once SPIN has been activated, you simply need to share your mobile phone number with the person initiating the transfer. The system will automatically identify your associated account, and the amount will be credited instantly.

Yes, SPIN is secure. Before completing the transfer, the system displays the name of the account holder associated with the mobile phone number entered. This allows you to verify the recipient’s identity and confirm that you are sending the amount to the correct person.

VoP and CoP

CoP (Confirmation of Payee) is an automatic service that immediately displays the name of the first account holder associated with the IBAN, mobile phone number, or Tax Identification Number (NIF) entered when initiating a transfer.

This mechanism allows the user to confirm the recipient’s identity before completing the transaction, enhancing security and reducing the risk of incorrect transfers.

CoP is available for online transfers through Homebanking or the FinantiaNet app.

VoP (Verification of Payee) is a feature that allows you to verify whether the name of the beneficiary indicated as the recipient of a transfer matches any of the holders of the account to which you intend to make the transaction.

The system checks whether the beneficiary’s name provided (if different from the first account holder already displayed by CoP) corresponds to one of the holders of the destination account. In this way, it helps ensure that the transfer is being made to the correct account and beneficiary.

When initiating a transfer and entering the recipient’s IBAN, mobile phone number, or Tax Identification Number (NIF), the system automatically displays the name of the corresponding account holder (CoP). At this stage, the user may confirm that name or indicate another legitimate beneficiary, such as a joint account holder.

VoP verifies whether the name entered corresponds to one of the holders of the destination account. If any discrepancy is detected, the system issues an alert, allowing the user to correct the information before completing the transaction.

  • They reduce the risk of error by preventing transfers to incorrect accounts;
  • They strengthen fraud prevention by alerting users to situations involving inconsistent data;
  • They enhance transparency and confidence in the transfer process;
  • They operate in real time and are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week;
  • They are free of charge for the user and are automatically activated in FinantiaNet.

No. These services are automatically available on Banco Finantia’s digital platforms, with no need for subscription or activation by the user.
