In 2020, Banco Finantia increased its financial strength, measured by the Common Equity Tier 1 (CET1) ratio, to 27.3%, one of the highest in European banking.
Net income for the year amounted to €23.7 million and net interest income reached €55.7 million. Operating costs decreased by 8% compared to 2019. Customer deposits totalled €950 million, 1% higher than the amount recorded in the previous year.
In a year marked by the Covid-19 pandemic, which led to a global recession, Banco Finantia adopted a conservative approach, allowing it to end the year with stronger capital ratios.
